Spanish term

número ordinal informático policial

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general) Spanish legal term
as in : "incluir como datos identificativos tanto el número ordinal informático policial como el número de atestado"

It is just a police record number of some sort, following the name and DNI of a person on trial, but I was wondering if there was a special technical term for it that one of you might have come across.
Thanks for your help.

There's no "set" term for this - you can translate it however you like, within reason.

agree MPGS : I would include 'sequential' (ordinal) :-) || thanks Phil. Not important, but: RAE: ordinal.1. m. Mat. El que expresa ideas de orden o sucesión; p. ej., primero, segundo, tercero. :-)

I think "ordinal" just means "reference", and it would probably be allocated sequentially anyway. But thanks for agreeing.
