Discussion

Per Bergvall Mar 28, 2014:
I don't think it's upload eiter I think what we are looking for here is something like upgrade time, which would have been 'oppgraderingstid' in Norwegian. I recall upgrading a Datapoint server from 64 kB to a whopping 128 kB of memory in the early 80's, in just under 48 hours. The cost was negligible, at less than 35kEUR. The EUR wasn't inveted at the time, but y'all know what I mean.
Charles Ek Mar 28, 2014:
I don't think it's the actual upload time that's referred to here. I think it's the time required to install and check out whatever is being installed. "For many large systems, migrations routinely span hours or days." – https://www.insight.com/content/dam/insight/en_US/pdfs/visio...
Per Bergvall Mar 28, 2014:
Thing is - In 3 x 8 hours, at modern broadband speeds, you could probably download every word ever put into writing by man, and maybe enjoy a whole season or two of Friends at the same time. Like, in the sdjacent download window.
Charles Ek Mar 28, 2014:
I'm not so sure three days at eight hours each is necessarily out of the question. It might refer to the time required to install a comprehensive system and get it up and running, especially if the supplier doesn't currently have access. What is the subject of this agreement?

that's what is printed Maybe a typo?
Per Bergvall Mar 28, 2014:
Opplastingstid? The term oppastingstid does not exist in Norwegian. Closest is opplastingstid, or upload time, which at 3 workdays each of 8 hours is ridiculous if a duration is discussed.

Upload time

Seeing your other questions, I'm pretty sure this is a typo as well. It should be "opplastingstid" - time to upload / upload time or something similar.

459 days

submission period

If it is in fact meant to be "opplastingstid" then the sentence could read: 'The supplier guarantees a maximum submission period of....'
