Si bien el texto en general es sobre automóviles, en esta parte habla más bien de física.

No logro determinar si rigid modifica a body o a vibration. Es decir, no sé si sería "vibración de un cuerpo rígido" o "vibración rígida de un cuerpo". En ciertas ocasiones aparece "rigid vibration" y de hecho no he dado con un término para este tipo de vibración tampoco, pero la he estado llamando "vibración rígida". En contraste, aparece la vibración elástica (en el texto a veces denominada "elastic vibration" y otras veces "resilient vibration", que imagino que deben ser la misma cosa). Cabe destacar que es MUY probable que el texto no haya sido escrito por una persona de habla inglesa nativa, sino que muy probablemente haya sido escrito/traducido por un coreano.

1.11 *Rigid Body Vibration* and Resilient Vibration
Rigid vibration refers to a vibrating object that is hanging off the spring. In this instance, the object plays the part of having mass, which is normally the pendulum hanging at the end of the spring. The vibration of the vehicle body, which is supported by the suspension, is an example of rigid vibration in a vehicle. Rigid vibration has a limited amount of room for displacement (level of deformation) of the spring. Elastic vibration refers to a vibration that occurs when a certain object plays the role of both the pendulum and spring at the same time. An exhaust pipe is an example of this vibration. In addition, freedom of movement is limited as well since there is no designated range of rigid deformation.
