"masywy danych" jeśli już tak zabawnie użyto takiej frazy są najczęściej kłopotliwymi zbiorami; porządkuje się je, a najczęściej - usuwa;
to też nie jest "baza danych", bo nie ma tu żadnego układu, hierarchii, relacji, etc.
Imo - dobrym oddaniem jest tu -"data collection", choć według mnie - "collection" też wskazuje na dowolny rodzaj uporządkowania/usystematyzowania;
dlatego popieram - "massive dataset" jako poprawne określenie po angielsku - frazy, która została niepoprawnie sformułowana po polsku.
