As it is, it's clear enought. It's a situation when the insurance company is refusing to pay the claim with valid reasons - like the damage being caused by the negligence of the insured person or some other breach of the contract, i.e. a situation where the claim is being rebutted / refuted

neutral Daryo : the ST is about the insurance company refusing to pay a claim as unfounded: a "waiver" is when s.o. is giving up the right to a well founded claim; there are some similarities, but it's expressed from a different viewpoint.
