Die maximale Einschaltdauer tEinMax kann dabei unabhängig von den Pausenzeiten ausgenutzt werden (z.B. kann 3-mal 3 min eingeschaltet werden, was i.a. mindestens dreimaliges Pantoheben ermöglicht.)

The only expression I know of is to do with railways (model or real). A pantograph is the "Stromabnehmer" of an electric locomotive

Thanks to David for pointing out that I should have mentioned that pantographs on the roof - usually one at each end of the locomotive.

The photo of the Swiss "Crocodile" here shows a pantograph (the raised metal framework over the cab)

agree David Moore (X) : You should've said it's on the roof! The Hamburg S-Bahn has "slipper" (or shoe) Stromabnehmers and they're not on the roof...
