Norwegian term

trekk i karakter

Norwegian to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s)
Really flummoxed by this one I'm afraid. Any suggestions appreciated.

The context is maintenance response times.

"Det vil bli gitt uttelling til besvarelser som sikrer raskere responstider enn minimumskrav. Store kostnadsmessige konsekvenser vil kunne medføre trekk i karakter."

Many thanks,

Richard

grade reduction

Whatever they might be grading. I read it as a process in which they give a grade or a number of points to certain elements based on how they evaluate them, and high cost will lead to a reduction in grade/point.
