The water in the R.M. contact cooling circuits accumulates also oil in the average amount of 7 mg/l. After going through the scale pit and oil skimmer unit, the water has a residual content of solid matter in suspension of about 130 mg/l and a residual oil content of about 5 mg/l.

An estimated total loss of scale according to the production is average about 1.1 % as wet scale to the water.
