another option. I believe, as Patinba has posted, that the concept of 'colonising the soil' also exists in EN. It's not my specialist field, so I wouldn't like to suggest the best structure of the sentence, but the phrase I have posted seems to be used in similar contexts (see one example below).

: I like "introducing". While microbes can "colonize" the soil themselves, I'm not sure you can "colonize" the soil with microbes.

this would be a solution. I'm not sure there's a direct equivalent in English for "colonizar" in this case.
