English to Arabic Medical Medical (general) tumour cells are diffusely positive for melan-A

Diagnosis: Breast Cancer

Subsequent MRI brain suggested two lesions showing post contrast enhancement seen in the left occipital and left posterior parietsl regions suggestive of metastatic deposits. No sizable perifocal edema or mass effect was seen. The posterior parietal lesion shows gyral pattern of enhancement suggestive of possible leptomeningeal component.

Immunohistochemistry shows tumour cells are diffusely positive for melan-A, HMB-45 and CD56. The tumour is focally positive for S-100 and is negative for LCA, CD3, CD20, AE1/AE3, CK7, CK20, TTF1, GCDFP15, chromogranin, synaptophysin. During the hospital course she had a single episode of hematemesis with clotted blood likely to be from swallowing of hemoptysis. Offered upper GI endoscopic evaluation but family refused for evaluation now.
