En las revistas Palabra Nueva y Vitral se discutía abiertamente contra “el miedo a reconstruir una sociedad civil”, afirmando que la apelación a la sociedad civil no es ni “pasar gato por liebre”, ni proponer la anarquía social, ni minar la soberanía y unidad nacionales y se niega que el llamado a la sociedad civil signifique “servir de carril de una ley extranjera”, ni defender el neoliberalismo ni hacerse eco de tendencias del exilio.
