Italian term

Complesso Flyschioide

Italian to English Science Geology rock formations
From a geological report:

"I terreni appartenenti al *Complesso Flyschioide* costituiscono la media montagna e la collina lucana, oltre a colmare la nota depressione tettonica della “Fossa Bradanica”. Il Complesso Calcareo-Dolomitico costituisce l’alta montagna lucana posta nel settore occidentale al confine con la Regione Campania."

I did find "Flyschioid" being used, but mostly in documents (in English) originating from Italy.

All suggestions are welcome.

agree philgoddard : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flysch Presumably the -oid means -like, which is another possible translation.

Flysch complex

You can't have a "Flysch like" complex, it is far to specifc for anything to be like it, if you read the wiki page.

If you filter out bad translations by Googling on UK sites only, you see that Flyschoid complex only exists in poor translations.
