@Ramey but "Ziffernblatt" (clock face) is only one part of the "Uhrkopf" or "Uhrenkörper"

Oddly enough this term cannot be found int he Swiss Dictionary of Horology http://www.fhs.ch/berner/?l=en Google translates Otto Frei with "Uhrkopf" as the term for a watch without an armband/strap. another term is "Zifferblatt", but is considered colloquial.
