This is for a Title. The title reads the XX grants XX the degree of Licenciado en Psicología. My question is, should I write only Bachelors in Psychology or should I write Bachelor of Arts (or Science) in Psychology? In Mexico, these are 5 year degrees where you have several subjects including the ones taken by B.S., however I know that B.S. are not as popular as B.A....or would it be correct to just write Bachelors in Psychology? This person lives in Houston, TX. Any suggestions?

Licentiate degree in Psychology
I still stick with the term licentiate, as I don't see the programmes as being direct equivalents. Just one opinion.

There is no degree in the USA that is a good equivalent to "Licenciado" as you describe it. What I suggest is what I would do myself.

Last Friday I finished my 4 year course in University here in Peru. Here is a communication from the University explaining the procedures:
GRADO ACADÉMICO
La culminación del estudio de los créditos, que comprende el Plan de Estudios, conduce al Grado Académico de Bachiller en Educación y Grado Académico de Bachiller en Administración, normado por el Estatuto de la UNFV 2001 (Art. 141), Reglamento General de la UNFV 2002 (Art. 161 y 162) y el Reglamento Académico de la EUDED - UNFV, vigentes.
TÍTULO PROFESIONAL
El Bachiller en Educación, obtiene el Título Profesional de Licenciado en Educación - Especialidad: Inglés, a través de la Facultad de Educación de la UNFV.
El Bachiller en Administración, obtiene el Título Profesional de Licenciado en Administración- Especialidad: Administración de Empresas, a través de la Facultad de Administración de la UNFV.

The US is not one of those countries, and Ms. Hercha, at least, is in the USA. What matters, of course, is where her customer intends to use her translation.
