@Helena I agree. We need to know her original reaction to the photo. Several times I've had the experience of seeing compromising photos on FB and they seem to stick in my mind--unfortunately. I'm talking about young people; they do some things I would rather not know about and then advertise them on FB.

My understanding... is that the viewer is looking at the people but "filtering" her image in her mind's eye because she is thinking of the photo. It doesn't have anything to do with filtering out friends on FB.

Marlene, yes but still we don't know the context... What is being filtered on the link you have sent are "friends" not necessarily their "photos". So I am not sure yet.
