A bit more context would be fine! @ASKER: With that tiny slice of information it´s more a guess then a support which your fellow colleagues are able to deliver.

Please allow me a personal opinion without infringement of the site rules: I really *dislike* opening a KudOz question and not able to find a whole sentence or description!

British Royal Navy? Not the normal abbreviation though, should be just RN. But Commander is a rank in the RN.
Catharine Cellier-Smart Jan 31, 2013:
yes, but with no further context impossible to give you a reliable answer.
sara alnuaimi (asker) Jan 31, 2013:
It is not a country. It is related to military issues.
Shera Lyn Parpia Jan 31, 2013:
More context It's impossible to tell with so little to go by.
But if it's a country, BRN coud mean Brunei.
sara alnuaimi (asker) Jan 31, 2013:
Very sorry!! I mean the abbreviation BRN.
Catharine Cellier-Smart Jan 31, 2013:
More context This could mean many things, depending on the context.
Is it in a list?
What immediately springs to my mind is an abbreviation for the country Brazil, (is this part of a list of names followed by country abbreviations?), but without more context impossible to know.

Bahraini Royal Navy

My confidence here is based on the fact that, according to you're profile, you are in the Persian Gulf:

"Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa met in his office this morning with Brigadier General Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa on the occasion of the latter's appointment as Acting Commander of the Bahraini Royal Navy (BRN)."

Sorry for the error in line 1 above: it should be "your profile", of course.

It's hard to focus a search without more context, but the top hits on Google for " BRA commander" led me to this. Hope it fits your context.
