Urdu term

hasab jAbtA

Urdu to English Law/Patents Law (general)
saboot kAbil-e-giraftAri guzarnay par mulzim ko tareekh __Dec., 2006 ko hasab jAbtA giraftAr tasavvar kiyA gayA.

What does hasab jabtA ( I'm not sure, it could be zAbtA also) mean?

Another point - I think tasavvar or tasavvur means "to imagine." If they have arrested the accused on a particular date, why they are mentioning "tasavvar?" Or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance for your help. In fact, there are some sentences or words in Urdu in a Hindi legal document. Urdu has been used in courts for a long time in India and still some old people can't resist the temptation to use Urdu words in Hindi legal papers.

According to procedure, /rule./law

Correct pronunciation is hasb-e-zAbta.

And as far as your second question is concerned, It is tasavar and it means "consider" as in "consider it done". It means here "considered arrested", that is the said person was under custody from that particular time and date. You must be aware that in legal documents understood things are also to be mentioned.

Thanks for explaining the second part in detail.

according to law

the better pronunciation is "Hisbey Zabta" "according to law" or حسب" ضابطہ"
Example sentence:

حسب ضابطہ کاروائی کی جائے گی or the action will be taken accordign to law

According to the regulation/rule/law

The correct pronunciation of the word is Hasb -e- Zaabta

Hasb - According to
Zaabta - Regulation or Rule or Law

The meanings of 'Tassavur karna' can be 'to imagine'

and

'Hasb e Zaabta Griftar Tasavvur Kiya Gaya' can be translated as:

'Was imagined to be arrested according to the regulation (rule or law)."

But it is to use a better word 'considered to be' which will make the sentence as:

'Was considered to be arrested according to the regulation (rule or law)."
