Another Option Could be an OCR issue and the list should look something like this (see link). If this is the case then it is EN- and not em and that EN just means that it is the English version.

Since you mention that this is a glossary, is there an explanation following the term and if so can you please provide it for context? Based on your other question this "em" appears a lot. Is this also part of the ASTM?
