How do other Proz users understand 'sens' in this context?

"Monsieur XXX prend acte que la diffusion du magazine au format numérique peut nécessiter un réagencement de la présentation de l’article auquel il apporte sa contribution, voire une synthétisation du contenu visuel, ce que Monsieur XXX accepte dès à présent, dès lors que sa contribution ne s’en trouve pas elle-même modifiée, non plus que le sens."

It's talking about how the article in which photographs supplied to an inflight magazine will appear may have to have its layout changed around for the digital version of the magazine. The photographer is being asked to agree to this, on condition that both the photo itself and its "sens" remain unaltered. I'm not sure how a photograph can have a "meaning", so I'm wondering whether it could mean its literal orientation on the page. Is that at all likely? Is there a third option I'm missing? Previous similar questions seem to suggest that 'format' is a possibility - can anyone confirm that this would be the appropriate solution here?
