Definitely de segunda mano It doesn't mean jewellery/jewelry for special occasions. "Joyas de ocasión" is a perfectly ordinary term for a normal phenomenon, which is extremely common in Spain now, with so many people selling their jewellery in the economic crisis. There's nothing wrong with the term "second-hand jewellery"; it's extremely common in English. Plenty of respectable and even up-market jewellers offer it. Alternatives are "previously owned" and (my favourite) "previously enjoyed". Not vintage or antique; second-hand jewellery can be that, but it doesn't have to be. They're different phenomena.

And if they're joyas, they're not bisutería.

Vintage may be muddying the waters a bit. I'd go for secondhand or previously owned. I didn't suggest "antique" because that would be incorrect.

I don't have much context. It's a jewellery that wants to translate just a few words in their web site. They asked me if I could help them with that word.
I think the meaning is not "antique" nor "secondhanded". I think it refers to "jewellery to use in special ocations"

disagree Andrew Bramhall : Your logic is completely flawed.'Second hand' or 'previously owned' are ok, but 'antique' isn't?? Anything antique is by inference 'previously owned' -nothing can be around a long time without having a previous or several previous owners.

I don't understand ANY of the points you're making. I said (and my dictionary reference confirms) that "de ocasión" means secondhand. I was simply providing some alternatives in case the client doesn't like the word " secondhand".
agree Charles Davis : This is how I find the term used (as you'd expect): secondhand, not for special occasions. Some sites assure you it's been sterilised. Masses of people are selling their jewelry in Spain, so there must be lots of secondhand stuff for sale.

Ya que vivimos en tiempos de crisis, me imagino que el joyero quiere deshacerse de stock a precios reducidos. Lo más fácil sería preguntárselo.

costume jewellery is not made from real stones and is often sold in department stores and shops rather than in jeweler's and anyway is known as joya de fantasía.

"vintage" is possible but don't really know why it would be sold in a jewellery shop
