in pro se
in pro se means "advocating on one's own behalf before a court, rather than being represented by a lawyer." In other words, self-representation.

Leif Henriksen
: Better than my suggestion. And some people think Latin is not alive :) It could also combine with my suggestion, making the full translation something like: Cases in which there are pro se litigants.

: "parties litigating on their own behalf" would work too, if you don't want to use "pro se" in the translation

parties handling litigation on their own
Det kan nok varieres med ordstilling etc. - f.eks. doing their own litigation - men dette er det grunnleggende.
Note from asker:
I was wondering weather "self-represented party" can be used... |

parties acting as their own attorney/lawyer
The parties have to be prepared to act as their own lawyers.

: I agree that this is often expressed as "parties acting as their own attorney" but an "attorney" is someone who is a legal professional, someone acting as their own attorney is not a professional attorney (unless of course they have a fool for an attorney

Discussion
