Spanish term
se anulaba su efecto
Spanish to English
Marketing
Advertising / Public Relations
Advertising
It is about the effect of advertising campaigns depending on certain variables. In this context:
"Antes, si una campaña estaba planificada en un momento estacional negativo, se anulaba su efecto. Ahora, evitamos momentos estacionales negativos de cada franquicia para que todas las campañas sean significativas"
The source text does not seem to be properly worded. Provisionally I see it this way:
"Previously, if a campaign had been planned in a negative seasonality, its effect got cancelled. Now we avoid negative seasonal moments for each frachise, so that all campaigns may be significant."

its effect was cancelled out
Another option if the asker wants to stick with "cancelled" and if not, "neutralised" could work too!

: No reason not to go with a fairly direct ttanslation here as 'cancelled out' is a natural and common expression in English in such a context.

: I agree or this could be slightly adapted to '...its affect would be nullified"

it would not produce noticeable effects
Just another option

it did not get results
Previously, if a campaign was planned at a bad time of the year, it did not get results. Now we avoid bad times of the year for each franchise, so all campaigns can be significant.
Es que "negative seasonality" y "negative seasonal moments" no suenan nada naturales en inglés. Hay que buscar expresiones naturales.
