Discussion
Quite often, what is “standard” can be a fairly recent one, different from what’s “traditional”
"matrice des risques traditionelle" so far.
"distended" is quite puzzling. I first understood "distended" as "bloated" i.e. in a negative connotation. Also, I couldn't find ANY example of "distended" being used in a positive connotation.
But the author doesn't seem to find anything wrong with the "the traditional distended risk matrix, on the contrary, he his boasting that their matrix is built on top.
So "distended" is very likely to be a clumsy synonym for "extended", which would make sense as "extended risk matrix" is far from being un unknown concept. Or it's may be an error in transcribing from a tape recording?
