Farbteiler

German to English Tech/Engineering Textiles / Clothing / Fashion
This is an item of clothing worn on the upper body. I don't have any images to work out what it may be. It's a part of a collection from a fashion group for next season.
The full sentence is:
"Ein Farbteiler, bedruckt in einer neuen, mehrfarbigen Streifenoptik."

Well, in my first reference "Farbteiler" was definitely referring to the pants, but I hardly think you'd get men's pants with "Straßsteinen auf dem Vorderteil" (or am I wrong?!). So to my mind the logical conclusion is that it can be applied to any garment with "colour blocking".

Yes, I thought it was to do with having split colours or colour combinations, but it is listed as an item of clothing, followed by a shirt and a jumper, etc. So I wanted to know if it means a specific type of top or other item of clothing.

colour block top

'Colour block' / 'block colour' seem to have about the same number of hits in the google search I did. I actually prefer the latter, but the former might be slightly clearer?

As to fabric, if it's "bedruckt" (printed) I think that rules out knitwear.

And as we have no further information as to style (shirt, blouse, tunic etc) I'd go with the very general 'top'.
