Perhaps I am a bit slow today but the following sentence seems a bit messy to me:
"He was contracted to design four collections a year for Givenchy, on top of the two for his own label, with Gibo poised to set up licensing agreements under the Alexander McQueen name with his company, Birdswan, and two stores planned."
There is no further explanation who Gibo and Birdswan are. I just don't get what the parts of the sentence have to do with each other, especially the licensing agreements and the stores. Can someone enlighten me?

As you can see in the reference, Alexander McQueen's company is "Birdswan solutions" and Gibo is the subsidiary of his Japanese backer. Whether the "he" in your text is referring to Alexander McQ. is not clear, but you will know that from the context.

a) er hat den Auftrag, Kollektionen für Givenchy zu entwerfen,
b)er entwirft gleichzeitig Kollektionen für sein eigenes Label;
c) Gibo (wer auch immer das ist) will für seine Firma Birswan Lizenzverträge mit ihm schließen,
d) es sind auch noch zwei Läden geplant.
