Japanese term

引き起こす

Japanese to English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering solar battery connector
切り込み部の保護層と電力リード線の先端部とが一体的に受光面側または非受光面側に引き起こされ。。。

extended over to?
brought over to?

It's hard to tell from the figure, but I think 切り込み部 here is a cutout section. So the tip of the lead wire and the protective layer of the cutout section are ??? extended ??? in an integrated manner to the light receiving surface or non-light-receiving surface.

Anyone clear on how to handle 引き起こす? Thanks for looking....

thank you I should have thought of that, but was somehow distracted by the rest of the sentence. Makes perfect sense based on the morphemes. By the way, something went wrong with trying to select your answer. If you don't get the points, please let me know and I'll tell the administrator. Thanks again for your explanation.

I would say “the tip of the lead wire is lifted up together with protective layer towards...”

Please see the last picture and its explanation in this website for what I mean.
