This is about the checking standards for as-cast products concerning pin-hole and blow-hole. The Japanese text is as follows:
。。。鋳放面に酸吹きを伴わないこと。
I guess 酸吹き may be acid-blowing (literally), but this means nothing technically.
Can anybody help me?

Given the context is a steel plate surface, 酸 could easily be referring to oxygen.
ALC shows "oxygen injection" as 酸素吹き込み.
Wikipedia also describes the process of "blowing oxygen" to reduce the carbon content in pig iron to create low-carbon steel.
Not sure what pin-holes or blow-holes have to do with it, except possibly where the oxygen is added. If that makes sense in context, I would say "oxygenation" or "oxygen injection."

For what its worth, I came across the words "oxy-blow" "oxyblow" "oxy'blow" as well as "acid blow" in the context of welding, all of which would work as a literal translation, but I can't find any references that describe their meaning with satisfying detail.

| Yes, I wandered if they had missed out the word 素 but actually 酸素吹き込み. is another term which means oxygen blast, whereas 酸吹き refers to a type of defect caused by the residue from plating process. The problem is, I don't know what to name it in English. |

最新の質問者さんのポストでは、めっき後の錆浮きだとのこと。 しかし、鋳放し面の検査で、後工程の不良の話しをするというのは、何かちぐはぐな感じがします。
前回のショット実施についても似たようなことがありましたが、この件も、どの工程についての話なのか確認なされたらいかがでしょうか?
I have just read the above website and found out the definition of 酸吹き, which is a type of rust seepage created after plating.
Unfortunately, I don't know what the terminology in English should be!?
