I see several types of intervenors among the Kudoz - partial, autonomous/independent and third party - but am stuck on how to render this phrase in UK English.
I thought of quote subordinate third party intervenor appearance unquote.
Does subordinate fit in? Black's and De Franchis are not very clear on this.
Can anyone help me with this one? I do appreciate the Kudoz community and its excellent quality and wealth of knowledge.

The joinder will be classified as a principal joinder (intervento principale) if the intervenor asserts a right of his own, in conflict with both the plaintiff and the defendant; it will be classified as an autonomous supporting joinder (intervento adesivo autonomo) if the intervenor, although retaining his own autonomy, takes a position equal or parallel to that of one of the parties; and as a dependent supporting joinder (intervento adesivo dipendente) if the intervenor, although not vested with autonomous eligibility to act or to resist, has nevertheless an interest in the success of one of the litigants.
