For the record, the Concise Oxford Dictionary gives one of the meanings of raise as "levy or collect or bring together" (the last one as in "raise an army", so that's not relevant here).

Thank you! I thought it should be something along this line, but no dictionary gave me this particular meaning of "raise" as "collect" in relation with "payment" and searching anywhere else for the words "raise" and "payment" were not conclusive, either. I translated with "Gewöhnliches Zahlungsdatum".

DERDOKTOR, I translate from German into English, not English into German, so I don't offer suggestions for translation into German. However, the meaning is entirely clear in English and is going to be something like "Datum, an dem die Zahlung erhoben wird" in German. (It would of course help to know what text or question precedes this on the form.)

I fail to see how it can be Datum der Gehaltszahlung. If a payment is being raised, then it is being taken from the person in question, not made to him.

Meaning of "raise" As the asker says, this is nothing to do with "Erhöhung". To raise a payment is simply to collect it. So even without context it sounds to me as though this question is asking about a regular payment that the Bewerber makes, and he is being asked to state on what date the amount is normally collected (e.g. he is paying off a loan and the payments are taken from his account on the 15th of each month).

English talks about "raising a cheque" (getting one made out) or "raising an objection" (voicing it) - or "raising a payment" (collecting it) - all cases in which "raise" is nothing to do with "increasing".

The suggestion that this is to do with a Gehaltserhöhung is also implausible, since this is to do with a "payment" and not with "pay" - quite different things.

Ja, leider macht alles Sinn... ...weil auf dem Formular dieser Satz so völlig ohne Kontext auftaucht. Allerdings galube ich dass die Übersetzung im Sinne von "Erhöhung" hier keinen Sinn macht. Das Formular scheint von einer Firma zu sein und es könnte darum gehen, dass hier die Möglichkeit gegeben wird, "anzuschreiben", also bestellte Ware erst später zu bezahlen. Ich werde aber auf jeden Fall den Kunden noch mal fragen. Ist natürlich wie immer alles schrecklich eilig und muss schon gestern fertig sein :)
