Japanese term

個時/年

Japanese to English Tech/Engineering Automotive / Cars & Trucks
Context is:
"Productivity: 2,000千個時/年"

For productivity, "2 million items /year" makes sense to me. But I don't understand where the hour fits in. Or am I missing something?
