Preliminary levelling consists of achieving an additional thickness of XX to YY% more than the thickness of the loosened material.

This additional thickness, which is removed during the final levelling process, minimizes lamination of the surface and avoids the risk of low zones.

The required extra thickness is to be determined by constructing a test strip or on the basis of experience from previous works.
