Doing something "en temps masqué" usually means that when multitasking, this particular thing is done as a background task.

The concept is that you start a task and then put it in the background while working on an other task, hence the first task is executed while you work on the second task: the time you spend on the first task is zero, it is screened by the time you pass on the second task. Usually the next phase is to accumulate more and more task like this in a pipeline manner.

I think it initially came into practice with the advent of modern factory procedures (probably from the Japanese’s race of productivity enhancement), but it is of course widely found in IT nowadays.

Маска-это значение указанное в программе(аргумент) т.е. задание.

Маска - этимологически с царя гороха имела значение защиты.

Пока производится мойка (rinsing), остальная часть системы (remainder of the product circuit) продолжает работать в нормальном режиме.
