messa in allarme

James (Jim) Davis Aug 16, 2011:
We don't know how big the company is however I still remember many years ago when an Italian finance director to whom I was teaching English explained why Italian companies held accounts at as many as a dozen different banks. It was because the banks were so small that no one bank could afford to grant all the loans a single medium sized company needed. Coming from England where even large companies like Ford of ICI banked with a single bank this was not easy to understand. Of course British banks are huge and very small in number (about three or four "high street banks") most of them global players (which is why London is still the largest financial centre in the world and not New York as you might expect - source New York Times).

Messa in allarme del sistema bancario Has this guy got delusions of grandeur or something?
James (Jim) Davis Aug 16, 2011:
OK I had seen it under a completely different light. The post remains the same but "setting alarm bells ringing in the banking industry" becomes "setting alarm bells ringing in the company's banks"

I'm afraid to say it is!

This isn't the same document as that of the other post about the sole director of the failing company I hope?
