"Contingency provisions" è sinonimo di "contingency funds" ? dato che "contingency fund" si può tradurre con "fondo sopravvenienze passive", posso tradurlo allo stesso modo?

Ho trovato questa definizione per "contingency provision":
A provision for the expected differences, if any, between the estimated costs and the average actual costs, that cannot be eliminated by changes in other components of the ratemaking process.

B1.3.1.4 Risk and contingency planning
As with any research project, risk is involved in converting innovation into a commercial product. The
EFFACEUR project carries degrees of risk (technical and economic) which have been quantified using
risk assessments. **Contingency provisions** have been made where appropriate. A summary of these risks
are reviewed in the following table. The risk assessment summary uses high, medium and low to
estimate severity and likelihood.
