Slovak term

fetovať acetón

Non-PRO Slovak to English Other Other
Šialený strelec Ľubomír Harman bol v čase streľby podnapitý a pred činom dokonca fetoval acetón!

More context:
Okrem alkoholu užil tesne pred tragédiou aj acetón, čo dokazujú výsledky toxikologicko-chemického vyšetrenia. V krvi mal 0,14 promile, v moči 0,85 promile acetónu. Ten sa do tela dostáva inhaláciou.

Once more:
...a pred činom dokonca fetoval acetón! Hypothetically, he could have done for the first time in his life.

Is it going to be - he took drugs or he did drugs...? I do not know so I ask. Thank you.
Change log

Jun 13, 2011 18:41: Rad Graban (X) changed "Level" from "PRO" to "Non-PRO"

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

PRO (1): Michal Zugec

Non-PRO (3): Dalibor Uhlik, Hannah Geiger (X), Rad Graban (X)

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Gerry Vickers Jun 16, 2011:
I refer you to my post below made 13:21 Jun 13
Gerry Vickers Jun 13, 2011:
Good - glad that's sorted. Now let's get back to work :)
Slavomir BELIS (asker) Jun 13, 2011:
Garry, unfortunately, yes, there are, I absolutely agree.
Gerry Vickers Jun 13, 2011:
I can see why. Slavo - it is only kudoz and there are worse things in life to worry about :)
Slavomir BELIS (asker) Jun 13, 2011:
Hannah, you do not see why? I am afraid, it is your problem, not mine. As far as I am concerned, I have a right to ask any question I want. If it is bothering you for some reason, feel free to ignore it. Have a nice day.
Gerry Vickers Jun 13, 2011:
acetone isn't really classed as a drug, but as a solvent. I believe that the slang term for this is 'huffing acetone' (google it) http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=huffing but usually comes under 'solvent abuse' or, at a stretch, 'glue sniffing' (but not 'drug sniffing').

taken rather than "did" - You can "do acetone" but it is very slangy.
