generally just referred to by the acronym OAO, including (so it seems) in Italian as well.

Frustrating thing is, as you all surely know, that some acronyms are used in their English versions, such as OAO in this case, in texts in other languages, Italian in this case, while others are translated or simply made up. In the document in question, OAO (English acronym) was used repeatedly in sentences with Italian acronyms (such as SGU)... Oh well..."
