There are previous entries for 'reparcelación' in Proz but my problem is I don´t know which is most appropriate for this context.


¿No es sorprendente que en plena crisis, en Valencia se anuncie un proyecto como el del Parque Central?.- El Parque Central es el proyecto urbanístico del siglo XXI para la ciudad de Valencia, aunque ojalá me equivoque y aparezcan otros de ese calado. Puede sorprender porque llega en una situación de práctica parálisis de la construcción, pero en Valencia seguimos concediendo licencias porque se ha hecho una sabia gestión del suelo.

Las tres fases del proyecto están supeditadas a inversiones previas de más de 600 millones de euros. ¿Es usted optimista?.- El Gobierno Central ha prometido esas actuaciones. Es un proyecto muy importante y la financiación no debe ser un problema. Estoy convencido de que va a salir adelante en plazos. Hay que aprobar la **reparcelación**, que requiere la desafectación de los suelos ferroviarios, y hacer esa obra de construcción soterrada.

If anybody wishes to post my suggestion as an answer I have absolutely no objection whatsoever. I'm here to help.

Patrick, as you say this is about organizing plots in the more legal sense of their identification, registration, ownership etc.
Planning is more concerned with the use made of land which is not affected or related to reparcelacion, but the two will often go hand in hand for obvious reasons.

@ Patrick If you mean "wrong" in discussing this, no of course not. But as for the actual term I think FVS is correct in saying this relates to registration of land rather than planning.

If I am wrong then please explain to me how. I consider these kudoz questions to be an invaluable learning experiences where a topic can be discussed in depth. I am not trying to be competitive - I am genuinely interested in understanding the terms so I can use them correctly in the future.

Agree with FVS This is nothing to do with planning; it's re-organization of land plots, either in the cadastral registtry ot the land registry (or possibly both) as a legal measure

My understanding of "land use planning" and "spatial planing" is that they include the activities you mention FVS. You are right that they might be a little less specific than "plot reorganisation" though.

"Plot reorganisation" does sound feasible to me, but I was just a little concerned that a google search only returned 9 hits.

Lisa No. Subdivision is too specific. There may be subdivision, aggregation, new divisions of aggregated plots, etc. In short, reorganization.

Patrick No. What it means is that the existing plots, each with their separate owners and land registry entries are reorganized to provide different plots, in terms of size, area, number, owner, land registry registration, etc. from the original. It is a question of legal division of the are into different legal land units, or plots. It is not really a question of land use planning as such.
