ボディの色のことを指しているのであれば、「フラッシュレッド」と訳したら良いと思います。 カー用品のペンキ売り場に行けば、「・・・レッド」「・・・ブルー」という種類がみられるはずです。

: この文体からすると、具体的に「フラッシュレッド」という色を指している可能性は低いように思います。「a new one finished in flash red」と言ってくれれば、考えるのですが。 追加のコメントですが、実際のところ、その車の色の正式な色の名前は、Takeyamaさんがご存じかもしれませんね！
