Thanks Liz. I know puentear is bypass, but I'm having trouble with the whole phrase. "Create a short-circuit by bypassing the corresponding terminals with a conductor that is adequate for Isc." Does that make any sense at all? Thanks again.

I think a shortcircuit is created by bridging instead of bypassing (puente = bridge)

yes, but 'by-passing' does not typically create a short, whereas 'bridging' terminals does
