Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (1): Cilian O'Tuama

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

I wouldn't say it's the wrong forum, just the wrong term, as you can't explain "of scale" without explaining "economies of scale".

""Economies of scale" ... refers to reductions in unit cost as the size of a facility and the usage levels of other inputs increase.[1] .... The common sources of economies of scale are purchasing (bulk buying of materials through long-term contracts), managerial (increasing the specialization of managers), financial (obtaining lower-interest charges when borrowing from banks and having access to a greater range of financial instruments), marketing (spreading the cost of advertising over a greater range of output in media markets), and technological (taking advantage of returns to scale in the production function). Each of these factors reduces the long run average costs (LRAC) of production ...

More concise definition: An economy of scale is to produce something in greater volume so to be more economical with cost and profit.

agree jccantrell : Yep, it costs $9 to set up, $1 to make the widget. First one costs $10 to make, but to make 10 widgets costs only $19. Scale up as appropriate.
