I'm at a loss... the sample comes from a text about simulation in obstetrics:
"Specialty-specific clinical issues were embedded in the scenarios to foster engagement by all members of the team. A reusable gravid uterus made of durable red canvas was fashioned to accommodate a mannequin baby and was stabilized in the birthing pelvis with large snaps. In this way an obstetrical provider could simulate incision of the skin and uterus, deliver the baby and then close the tissue layers, activities typically performed during a real cesarean delivery."

suppongo, "il bambolotto" viene fatto di modo per metterlo dentro e bloccare (stabilizzare), cioè, farlo entrare, con il clic, forse, uando bottoni automatici, visto che è riutilizzabile.
