Japanese term

カンバン対応も可能

Japanese to English Other Business/Commerce (general)
The whole sentence is:
弊社でストックを持ち、場合によってはカンバン対応も可能

I understand the meaning of カンバン but it's not gelling right in the translation. I'm wondering if this has some special idiomatic meaning.

Thanks!

Kanban System/Card (Compatible)

In manufacturing and logistics, the Japanese word Kanban has been adopted to mean a tool (a card that contains very specific information for reordering and replenishing materials or transferring finished goods between internal departments). Such a system reduces overall inventory and batch size by pulling only what is necessary from a "supermarket" (a small supply of parts) placed between the POU (point of use) and the next upstream process. This system originated in the Just-In-Time production system devises by Toyota, sometimes call the Toyota Production System, or Lean Manufacturing, and has been implemented to varying degrees in most manufacturing companies.
Peer comment(s):

agree Julian Rippon : The Kanban card system is one of the tools that can be used in a just-in-time (JIT) system, but is not the JIT system in itself. It simplifies the flow of information between a customer/supplier pair. Kanban is now a common English term in manufacturing.

agree conejo : Yes definitely. The "kanban card" system is something that is used in some Japanese transplant manufacturers in the US as well.

Billboard size available

I don't have the background to this source text, but I assume that it is a printer (of marketing materials) who is telling its client that it can make a really LARGE (read, billboard size) print if the situation permits.

I would translate the whole sentence as:

We carry (paper) stock, and can blow your image up to billboard size in some cases.

Because of the grammar of the sentence, it doesn't match my suggested term exactly, but the meaning and nuance i the same.

I hope you like my answer.

Just-In-Time system

This refers to Kanban method, or Just In Time method. "We are happy to work on a Just-In-Time basis..."

Hi, Yuki. Your answer was so helpful to me. I thank you very much. (I used it in my translation.) Conejo's disagree actually made me change my mind to go to "Kanban." I wish I could give you both points.

disagree conejo : The "kanban card system" is a specific system. "Kanban" is not the same as the JIT system; it is something that is used with the JIT system.
