Un Travertin médium de ***finition mate et bouchée*** aux bords ciselés. Un merveilleux carrelage avec des ombres voluptueuses, très pratique et très solide.
I am not sure how to translate 'bouchée' in this context.
Many thanks in advance!

sealed finish
This might be a possible lead: according to GDT, one possible meaning of the verb 'boucher' is 'to seal' — so could these be 'sealed finish'?
When we seal wooden floors, it often seems to mean giving them a high-gloss finish (vitrification, tantamount to varnish, up to a point) — could that be the contrast they are making here with merely 'lisse'?
I think there is a special process associated with tiles etc., but I suspect the underlying idea is the same, and so, possibly, the term too.

I think Clanola's suggestion of 'filled' is equally valid, and cf. 'enduit de bouchage' for 'filler' (Polyfilla etc.)

Comment: "Thank you both for your answers. In the end, although I used 'sealed' in my translation, I'm still not 100% sure about this one. The client suggested it might be 'rough' (finish) in English. But I don't know if that is correct either. I suspect it might be 'sealed'. Anyway, I won't put this in the glossary just in case. Thanks again! Sheila"

Turkish travertine tile and tile travertine originated from Mideast. Comparing to marble or granite, tile travertine has an unique property - porous. The holes on travertine and tile are visible even after being filled. The most popular color of travertine tiles is earth tone such as beige or cream although more bright and complicated colors are available. Veining of colorful travertine tiles can be rather complicated, resulting in significant color variations even within the same batch and making travertine tile floors and walls very decorative and attractive. There are many finish options for travertine tiles, among which "filled and honed" is most commonly used.

J'ai trouvé ce site internet qui explique un peu comment on protège la surface des carreaux:

ASPECT SURFACE : finition lisse ou ***bouchée***, brossée.
Toutes couleurs émaillées ou patinées.
So, basically it's the finish of the tiles that is being described in the above case.
Here is a link to the stone tiles described in the example in my question:

BTW, what is a 'travertin'? ;-)
