Proposed translations
la ley de prueba delictiva y policial de 1984 (PACE)
I would use delictiva instead of criminal just to make sure we are making no connotations that the evidence is linked to a crimen, which is only a particular type of crime in Spanish. The word delito encompasses all crimes.
Another thing is that prueba may be used in singular form as well as plural. The DRAE has the following:

I also support what LaurieV says, "(PACE por sus siglas en ingles)." Maybe place a comma right after PACE. However, you may just want to put the acronym alone which would serve as a type of a sign post for the reader. It's up to you.
