When you look at an MLS listing, you are looking only at the most visible part of a complicated contract signed between seller and sales agent. It’s actually an offer, in the same way that an eBay listing is an offer. If the information were syndicated somewhere and a mistake or false claim made its way into a listing, the listing agent could be held liable for damages.
