Italian term

Istituzioni

Italian to English Other Government / Politics
E’ peraltro previsto un impegno comune nei confronti delle Istituzioni affinché possono messi in atto e rinnovati strumenti finalizzati a dare la necessaria stabilità…

I am confused about the use of Istituzioni with a capital. It's taken from a newspaper article on industry aid.
My feeling is that it could just mean political strategy in general.
Thanks

don't think it changes a thing but simply reflects that the text was not written carefully, as is also indicated by the construction 'possono messi in atto...'

well, even though it was your typo, the word institutions is not capitalized in English. I think it may be so in Italian to illustrate the importance of these particular institutions or to emphasize them in the text but this is not so in English.
Note from asker:
Hi - the construction was my bad typing! It should read: possano essere messi in atto.

agree Michael McCann : Yes, agree

agree Rachel Fell : maybe the big institutions or the various institutions, as the institutions on its own sounds a bit stark (unless they been mentioned in a qualified way before) - and wouldn't be capitalised in English

Institutions

They mean all the Institutions that are working to solve the economic crisis, so I think you have to leave it in capital letters.
