normally there is a "-" between stain and glass. As there is none, it could also simply be windows with stains.

I know it's far-fetched, but stained is also "tachée"

stained glass window = vitrail

a bustling open-air market Saturday mornings in Chartres as well as the famous Chartres
Cathedral, known worldwide for its stain glass windows

The stained glass window, as it is conceived by contemperary glaziers, finds a new place in interior decoration. According to the location, a small scale project is proposed together with the varieties of glass that are to be used. The stained glass windows are adapted to and integrate with all kinds of architecture : public buildings and private houses.

Glass is our medium : Through the stained glass window, your environment is in constant change.

also for the English terms :

Stain Glass or Stained Glass ?
The proper term is stained glass. Since the color is produced during the manufacturing stage it would put it in the past tense, hence stained. However there is a process in which stains are
applied to the stained glass and fired in with a kiln. This is usually done for added effects such as facial or other body features, shadowing, or
other special effects to enhance the beauty of the project. Though this process is often refered to as glass painting.
