Danish term

Grundlæggende føreruddannelse

Danish to English Other Military / Defense certificate of training
Basic Leader Training or perhaps Basic Guide Training? The trouble is that the same certificate also has a course called "Ledelses- og uddannelseslære" where leadership is also covered. I'm having trouble discerning what the difference might be.
Proposed translations (English)
4 +1 basic leadership training

Discussion

Brian Young Mar 24, 2010:
not to translate operational terms I cannot believe that the Ministry of Defense would have any reason not to translate the names of operations and departments. Denmark is a member of NATO, and would be in constant need to interface with other NATO members. Maybe they just never got around to it.
Tania Therien (asker) Mar 24, 2010:
No official translations that I could find. Not so surprising, I suppose, that the Ministry of Defense would like to keep their operations untranslated. This term appeared as a course name in two different certificates for different levels of training, so for the higher level I used "Commander Training" and the lower I used "Basic Leadership Training."

basic leadership training

none needed, what else could it mean? Is there a website with an "official" English language translation. The military might have their own ideas.
