"in a relationship" on its own suggests a couple; if it were another kind of relationship you'd probably have added an adjective to qualify it, e.g. "in a business relationship", "in a pupil-teacher relationship".

: "relationship alchemy" has a strange and mysterious subtext to it that the original does not and thus would not be appropriate IMHO

dovrebbe essere un titolo (articolo, libroc, etc.) e
riguarda la comunicazione di coppia intesa come coniugi, fidanzati.
Mi interesserebbe sapere anche come cambierebbe se la comunicazione riguardasse invece una relazione generica (professionale, familiare, etc.).
