German term
unentgeltliche Überlassung
German to English
Bus/Financial
Management
Context:
"kostenlose" Bestellungen, unentgeltliche Überlassung von Gegenständen (z.B. zu Testzwecken)
I found this translated (by a German) as "gratuitous products or services", but that seems like a gratuitous mistake to me.

Comment: "Thanks. I think this works best here, even though "free use" would certainly be fine in general."

provision of free items

complimentary items
Would this be an option here? Perhaps products rather than items depending on the precise context.
Note from asker:
Yes, I'd already written that this applies to "complimentary" products or services and the provision of items free of charge. |

free use
free ie cost free, free of charge
Überlassung can also mean use and since the words zu Testzwecken are also there, perhaps it's use and not provision... without more context, there is no way to be sure

Note from asker:
Thanks. Here I think it is meant to include both/all options. |
No, this has nothing to do with land, Tom Thumb, we are definitely primarily talking about good and services here, as the Incoming Goods department reject anything received without a purchase order (as stated in the discussion above). |
